nFor the hard drive to be able to be read and written to in both a PC and Mac computer, it must be formatted to ExFAT or FAT32 file format. WD Elements is pre-configured for usage on a Windows PC.
nMac users need to re-format the drive to either EXFAT or HSF+J (for using it with Time Machine). Users can either use the Disk Utility app on their Mac or download the WD Drive Utilities software.
